Explanation note on accreditation status A, A(R), B, C

In accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the International Coordinating Committee of National Institutions for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights (ICC), its Sub-Committee on Accreditation has the mandate to review and analyze accreditation applications forwarded by the ICC Chairperson and to make recommendations to ICC members, for their consideration and approval, on the compliance of applicants with the Paris Principles.

In accordance with the ICC Rules of Procedures, the different classifications for accreditation used by the ICC are:

A:	Compliance with the Paris Principles;
A(R):	Accreditation with reserve – granted where insufficient documentation is submitted
	to confer A status;
B:	Observer Status - Not fully in compliance with the Paris Principles or insufficient information
	provided to make a determination;
C:	Non-compliant with the Paris Principles.

Conformément au règlement intérieur du Comité international de coordination des institutions nationales pour la promotion et la protection des droits de l’homme (CIC), son sous‑comité d’accréditation a le mandat de revoir et d’analyser les requêtes d’accréditation envoyées au président du CIC et d’émettre des recommandations aux membres du CIC, à des fins d’étude et d’approbation, sur la concordance des demandeurs avec les Principes de Paris.

Selon le règlement intérieur du CIC, les différentes classifications de l’accréditation utilisées par le CIC sont les suivantes :

A:	Conforme aux Principes de Paris;
A(R):	Une accréditation avec restriction – est accordée si la documentation fournie est
	insuffisante pour concéder le statut A;
B:	Un statut d’observateur – La conformité avec les Principes de Paris est incomplète ou les
	renseignements fournis sont insuffisants pour rendre une décision;
C:	Non conforme aux Principes de Paris.

De acuerdo con las Reglas de Procedimiento del Comité Internacional de Coordinación de Instituciones Nacionales para la Promoción y Protección de los Derechos Humanos (CIC), su Subcomité de Acreditación tiene el mandato de examinar y analizar las solicitudes de acreditación enviadas por el Presidente del CIC y hacer recomendaciones a los miembros del CIC, para su consideración y aprobación, sobre la conformidad de los solicitantes con los Principios de París.

De acuerdo con las Reglas de Procedimiento del CIC, las distintas clases de acreditación utilizadas por el CIC son las siguientes:

A:	Conforme con los Principios de París.
A(R):	Acreditación con reserva. Se otorga cuando la documentación presentada es
	insuficiente para conferir el estado A.
B:	Estatus de observador.  No guarda plena conformidad con los Principios de París o la
	información presentada es insuficiente para tomar una determinación.
C:	No conforme con los Principios de París.
